David Josiah has been an active trainer in the hunter/jumper industry for over 20 years. After graduating from Virginia Intermont College in 1985, David was the assistant to Robert Hoskins for many years. David continued to ride and teach for Ralph Caristo at Glen View Stables in Hauppauge, New York, until the late 80's when he started leasing a farm of his own in Jamesport, New York. David was very successful in qualifying students for year-end national finals such as the ASPCA Medal in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the USA Equestrian Medal regional finals held in Old Salen, New York.

In 1991, David started a partnership called Half Moon Bay Equestrian Center with Emmy Goldborough and Richard Spooner at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. For four years David and his partners enjoyed much success accumulating numerous high point awards for their students and many personal successes of his own. David bought many quality and competitive horses for his clients by traveling allover the country to find the right match for each individual rider. Their business grew to over 40 full training show clients.

In 1995, David started his own business called Morning Mist Farm and remained at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Once again, David started many students along and brought them to go on to win many championships and medal finals. He continued to work as an agent in purchasing horses for his clients and selling the mounts for which they were no longer suited. David also began riding jumpers and competed in his first Grand Prix in 2002.
